Now offering National Lottery tickets, Kazang mobi devices help vendors grow

In a bid to realise one of their key objectives of bringing payment services closer to communities and increasing financial inclusion, Paycorp has launched the sale of National Lottery and PowerBall Quick pick tickets via its Kazang mobi devices.
Set to help informal and small formal vendors attract new customers and offer existing customers more value, it is anticipated that the National Lottery ticket sales will quickly gain popularity and reach similar levels to those of prepaid electricity and airtime services sold through Kazang.
Lotto, Lotto Plus, PowerBall and PowerBall Plus are available on all Kazang terminals. It is expected that Kazang will be launching self-selection for people who love to play their favourite numbers in the near future.
“This is a welcome addition to the stable of value-adding prepaid products and micro-payments that Kazang already offers, such as airtime and data bundles, prepaid electricity, DSTV and more,” says Martin Wright, Kazang CEO.
At this stage Kazang’s network of vendors will not be offering National lottery ticket pay-outs. Winners will be directed to South African National Lottery outlets to claim their winnings or contact the Ithuba Head Office.
